2024 MEMBERS’ PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT

EXHIBIT DATES: September 6 - October 26, 2024

LOCATION: Eastern Shore Art Center, 401 Oak Avenue, Fairhope, AL

SCHEDULE FOR SHOW:

• Saturday, Aug 31, 2024, 10am-4pm: Artwork drop-off
  at Eastern Shore Art Center

• Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024: Artwork will be hung by ESAC staff 

• Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024: Show Jurying 

• Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, 6-8pm: Art Walk (This will serve as the Exhibit Opening)

• Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024: ESCC September Mtg. with Exhibit Jurors’ Presentation

• Friday, Oct 4, 2024, 6-8pm: Art Walk

• Saturday, Oct 26, 2024, 10am-5pm:  Artwork pickup / Artists check out at front desk
  

Each member (whose membership is currently paid for 2024-2025 by July 11th) may submit two (2) photos, 8x10 or larger and prepared for display.  Entries will be juried, but each member will have at least one photo in the show.  Artwork should not exceed 36″ in any direction for display. Works MUST be matted and framed, gallery wrapped, wired and ready for hanging. Metal prints are accepted, but must also be ready to hang. No sawtooth hangers.

If the artwork is sold during this period, ESAC retains a 30% commission on sold work. Any artwork that is sold will remain on display through October 26th.

CATEGORIES:

• People - Any photo where the main subject(s) is a person or people. Still shots or active. 

• Flora- Plants

• Fauna- Animals

• Scenic - Cityscapes, landscapes, architecture, natural settings.

• Other- Any image that does not fit the other categories; may include abstract and/or digital art photos.

CRITERIA FOR JURYING:

• Subject

• Lighting

• Composition

• Originality

AWARDS:

• Best of Show

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category

• Best Black and White

• Best Use of Color

• Best Youth- 18 Years and Under

• People’s Choice 
  

PROMOTION:

All winners will be featured/promoted on Social Media sites, as well as the ESCC website.
